Show & Tell / Talent Show

This year, we are thinking of adding a show and tell / talent show to our reunion schedule which would give all of our wonderful children an opportunity to present to the group their special skills or experiences.

Kids: Do you play an instrument or are you a great singer? Can you cheer or juggle? Are you good at telling jokes? Do you have a special item or photo from your life in Bulgaria you would like to show and explain? Can you do magic? Have you done a home school project about Bulgaria or adoption or family that you would like everyone to see? The sky is the limit to what you could share with the group.

Parents: Please let us know if any of your kids would be interested in being a part of the show and tell/ talent show, so we can decide if this would be a good addition to our reunion activities. You can email me with any questions or information at viviane8 @ yahoo.com

TENTATIVE Schedule of Events 2012

Since some of you have been asking about the schedule of events for this year, I wanted to let you know what we're planning tentatively. Some of it depends on if there's any interest and we'll adjust the schedule accordingly.

Friday June 22

Check in starts at 3:00 pm

*Please meet us at cabin 4H to receive your welcome bag

5:00 pm: Meet & Greet with icebreakers for the kids and families

7:00 pm: (possible) ice-cream social

7:30 pm: campfire, songs/stories


Saturday June 23

9:00- 10:00 am Breakfast in the cul-de-sac (provided)

10:00 – 11:00 am Minute to Win It (ages 8 and up)

Bubbles, balloons, play dough, and chalk (ages 3 and under)

Interactive Story Time ages 4-5 & 6-7

11:00 – 1:00 pm Crafts & Games (all ages) – Twister, hopscotch, jump rope, beading, possible knitting

Teen Adoption Discussion & Blind Man’s Walk (if there’s interest)

Parent Support Group/Discussion (if there’s interest)

1:00 pm Lunch – please provide your own

2:00- 4:00 pm Family time to mingle, rest, or explore on your own

4:00- 5:00 pm Scavenger hunt, all ages

4:30 pm Set up for potluck

5:00-6:00 pm Potluck dinner

6:30 pm Culture Time: dance the horo, learn about BLG, write Cyrillic, show and tell about your BLG heritage or show off your other talents

7:30 pm Campfire, smores (provided), stories and songs


Sunday June 24

9:00 - 10:00 am: Group breakfast (provided), thanks and farewell

12:00 pm: Check out

Registration forms have been e-mailed!  Please check your e-mail inbox and respond ASAP.  We are trying to get a head count for this years event.

Do not wait to make your reserations! Campground and cabins are getting booked for the June 22-24 weekend and I do not want anyone to miss festivities!  If you are a "maybe" check the local hotels and reserve a room that may have a better cancellation policy than the park.
